Is there such a thing as waste when it comes to unlimited resources? Wind + Sun = Unlimited Clean Energy. So in the true form of capitalism we exploit and damage the planet with fossil fuels and nuclear waste.

In The Name of God

Hundreds are violently murdered in the streets of Nigeria daily based on Islam a religion that was also violently enforced on us. These holy murders largely go unnoticed and covertly sanctioned by the western world. The images of the murder and beheading of a British soldier in broad day light in England was not only shocking but showed the world what Nigerians have been subjected to daily for years in the name of God.

Decades after the Christian Europeans enslaved and slaughtered Africans wholesale in the name of God. Islam has now taken the lead. I think the world is skeptical right about now when we continue to hear the same drumbeat of how peaceful Islam is in reality. The fundamentals of all religions is non-violence, tolerance and humanity

This is what I am saying Islam and Christianity is foreign to us Africans, both religions have been used for centuries to exploit and murder Africans all in the name of their God.

It is time for us Africans to pray to our own God.

Get That Dog Off My Lawn

Since its creation America has struggled with the concept of freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from religion, freedom from government, individual freedom.

So the Europeans came to this land under the guise of freedom to practice their religion. This at the expense of the lives of millions of indigenous inhabitants, their continent and millions of Africans and their continent. Then there is the hypocrisy,  religious prejudice with their eyes wide shut.

Majority of the wars fought by man has been over religion although they are shadowed by political or economic ramifications.  Most know that the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Israel, Mali, Nigeria, Chechnya  are religious wars yet the powers that be swear otherwise, they say all religions are peaceful while the young are sacrificed  in a war to defend God. Islam is the way of Christ so we rally round the flag

Difference deemed a sin so Jason Collins confesses to the world his homosexuality, with expectations of forgiveness or understanding? Those that don't understand or forgive now deemed the sinners.

My Name is Ayotunde

They try to snob you when you don't speak "proper" French or look down on you when you don't speak the queens English. Then you have black Americans who look at Africans like we are from another planet with "speak English man" meaning I don't sound American.

So way back when I was a college student in Madison, Wisconsin I looked forward to the roll call of my first classes. I enjoyed watching the professors struggle with pronouncing my name and no I wasn't going to make it easy on them like my friends who all of a sudden started using their christian names.

Those that had no christian names went from Fatai to Fredrick or Mudashiru to Micheal or Bashiru to Bernard and so on. Muslims became Christians by default in the quest to fit in the American culture. So Peter, Paul, Micheal, Francis and John became the new vogue.

It felt odd that when we roamed the streets of Ibadan I called him Lekan now in college and amongst our American friends I call him Bernard. So I used my classroom as the forum to teach Yoruba, my language. I knew the professors would always ask if they pronounced my name properly. I would always answer no then proceed to teach the class how to pronounce my name and the story behind my name. I always felt proud walking around campus and referred to as a Nigerian by fellow students, that in my name is my story. Then again it made me popular with the girls.

My name is
Ayotunde
